Advertising & Content Guidelines

Be honest and clear

• Prices must be real. For a Hot Deal, the “usual price” must be a price you genuinely charged recently.
• Discounts and offers must be available as described, for the whole period the ad runs, and state any conditions (e.g. “selected models”, “while stock lasts”).
• Follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements, 2022, the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules and the ASCI Code.

Not allowed on Vyaparnet

• Alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes and drugs; prescription medicines without the required licence;
• weapons, explosives, fireworks outside permitted rules;
• adult or sexual content, gambling, betting, lotteries, chit funds or unregistered financial schemes;
• counterfeit, pirated or stolen goods; wildlife products;
• “get rich quick”, MLM or guaranteed-income claims; miracle cures or unproven health claims;
• hate speech, content that is defamatory, harassing, or harms national security or public order;
• anything else illegal in India or prohibited under Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021.

Allowed with care

Pharmacies, clinics, financial services, real estate, education and similar regulated categories may advertise only if properly licensed/registered (e.g. RERA number for property) and must not make guaranteed-outcome claims.

Photos and text

• Use your own photos or ones you have the right to use. No watermarks of other brands, no copied product photos.
• No misleading edits, fake “sold out” timers or fake reviews.
• No personal data of other people without their consent.

Classified ads & buyer safety

• One item per classified ad, with a real photo, a real price and an honest condition (New, Used, etc.). Do not post the same item again while it is live.
• You must own the item or have the right to sell it. Sellers of food must follow FSSAI rules that apply to them.
• Vyaparnet only shows the listing — the sale is between the buyer and the seller. Buyers: see the item before paying, meet in a safe public place, and never pay an advance to an unknown seller or share OTPs.
• Report a suspicious listing from the Contact page; we remove listings that break these rules.

What happens if an ad breaks the rules

We may remove the ad without a refund of the credit, and for repeated or serious violations suspend the account. You can report any ad or listing to john@vyaparnet.com; we act on valid reports within 36 hours as required by the IT Rules, 2021 (24 hours for content involving nudity or impersonation).
